THEME: 80's clubbing girls
To match with the theme, Marc Jacobs used different elements:
MUSIC...
He used grunge songs that were first popluar in the 80's.
SETTING...
Very different from previous collections, no special settings were used. It was just a runway with a red carpet.
COLORS...
Unlike most of his F/W collections. MJ made use of HIGH CHROMA colors to create the 80's mood. Comparatively, MJ 's F/W collections have long been regarded as a duller collection. BUt for this year, he changed and used loads of colors with HIGH CHROMA. As you wanna be COOL and stand out from the crowd, vivid colors definitely help! These colors really really match with the theme and all these vivid colors were extremely popular in the 80's too.
I guess I don't have to explain this part... :P MJ LOVES ACROMATIC COLOR SCHEME! He really did use it every single season. It looks nice cool if you're really going out tonight to join a 80's party! BLACKS GREYS WHITES always will not be wrong :P
