THEME:HIGH SCHOOL STYLE

To match with the theme, Marc Jacobs used different elements:

He used the infamous song "SMELLS LIKE TEENS SPIRITS" by NIRVANA, which was regarded as the ever-lasting teenage anthem, to bring out the youngsters' angst:

SETTING...
A cheering team leader and a marching band was performing at the very beginning of the show. These two performing acts sort of represents high school since they are two of the most popular school extra-curricular activities:

COLORS...
Marc Jacobs did not make use of lots of color schemes for this collection. Instead, he used the colors which were once popular in his high school period i.e. 70s.

The 70s influential movie of SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER also inspires Marc to use SILVER color to match with his high school period.
